Every estimate comes from Jordan personally, so nothing gets lost between a salesman and the people doing the work, and he stays accountable for how the ground is left. Read the Google reviews and you will notice they name Jordan rather than a company — that is the standard the whole crew works to.
Being a crew rather than one man is also why several stumps, or several properties in the same week, do not turn into several weeks.
Where the work is
Tryon is the base — Polk County, in the thermal belt, a few minutes from the South Carolina line. From there the map runs north up the Saluda Grade through Saluda to Hendersonville and Asheville, east to Rutherfordton, and south through Landrum into Spartanburg and Greenville counties. Sitting on the line is the reason both states are an ordinary day’s work rather than a special trip.
The equipment
A Carlton tracked stump grinder for the grinding, a Bobcat MT100 track loader with a grapple for lifting root balls and moving material, and an excavator for the work neither of those will do. Tracked machines throughout, because most of this work happens on lawns and gardens that have to be left in one piece.
What we do not do
Tree felling and climbing. If the tree is still standing, you need an arborist first — and once it is down, this is where the stump goes.
