What Columbus ground is actually like
Columbus is close to home: a few minutes east of the yard in Tryon.
It is the Polk County seat, where US-74 and I-26 cross. Columbus is the point on the map where town lots and county acreage sit inside the same few miles, so a morning in a fenced back yard off Peniel Road and an afternoon on open ground toward Mill Spring is a normal day rather than two separate trips.
Getting the machine in
Close enough that small jobs stand on their own and big ones do not need the schedule built around them. A fenced back yard in town is a gate question: the tracked grinder is narrow and goes through most of them. Open acreage is a ground question: whether it will carry the machine after rain. Say which you have, and send a photo of the way in.
What it costs here
Columbus is one of the closest towns to the yard, so distance is not the issue here that it is at the far edge of the map, and a one-stump job is worth doing on its own. What sets the number is the stump: how wide it is across the cut face, how many there are, how easy they are to reach and whether the grindings stay or go. How each of those moves the price is written out in full.

Asked most often here
How quickly can you get to Columbus?
It is one of the closest towns on the map to the yard, so it is usually a question of what is already booked rather than how far it is.
Do you cover Mill Spring and Lake Lure as well?
Yes. Both are covered from the same base — they do not have their own page, but the work is the same and the answer on price is the same.
