How far the machine travels
The yard is in Tryon, in Polk County, right on the state line. That is why the map reaches so evenly into both states: most regular work sits inside about an hour’s drive — Polk, Henderson and Rutherford counties on the North Carolina side, and northern Spartanburg and Greenville counties once you drop down US-176 and the Saluda Grade into South Carolina.
Asheville is the northern edge and Greenville the southern one. Jobs at that range are worth planning around rather than squeezing in, and several stumps make more sense than one. Outside the map, it is still worth asking.
